Based on other videos I have seen from this day Magnus probably played more than a dozen or more games before this. I am not aware of Judit playing any other games this day. It's pretty obvious to me that he let her win. In some sense he is representing all men in the world and she is representing women. He has to let her win. It's just the right thing to do. Sometimes chess is more about politics than anything else.

Chess is fairly odd in that so many games are conceded before they're actually done. In practically every other game or sport you play to the end, no matter how bleak the outcome. For one you're hoping to pull off a miracle, but also just due to competitive spirit. I don't know that I like it.
