@21:28 – the idea I was playing with after 1. g4 was 1… Nxd5 with the idea being 2… Qh5+. I don't think it quite works either but the dark-squared bishop is putting White in a a lot of pain and if he captured the knight, you've got Bxg5+ as a followup with a possibility of capturing the rook or completely tying up the defense and if he captured the bishop, you've got Nxc5+ and Rd1 is going to cause some problems for him.

At 4:39 Nh5 looks like a strong move as hxg4 Ng3 traps the queen (and also forks Q and R). Bf5 looks like a scary attack from white as black gets pushed black.

4:45 Here, I was looking at the move Knight to h5. Looks good as, if they take your bishop, you can move your knight to g3 and they’re in big trouble.

1777 OTB officially 2020 postal, but that is after I resigned 44 games at once (exhaustion/chess blind). So probably master-level there (in the 1980s, before strong engines). My chess computer code, named Piranha, won the first (and only) microcomputer postal tournament, by holding a draw against a cheater (human making the moves), trying to use the horizon effect. I used Monte Carlo methods (3000 complete games at 4-6 ply per move) on a 6502 48K machine, using a floppy to keep track of the analysis. Wish I had those games, but 2 dollar power supply fried the $2500 computer.
Biggest gap change in ELO answer: I saw Mario Spinosa (a 1272 club player) beat Ove Kroll Danish 2300+ master OTB weekend Swiss. For some reason, my board was next to them, so ringside seat. Kroll lost because he refused to repeat moves in an obviously drawn position. Mario went from 1272 to 1900 when the ratings became unstuck (the 1977-1979 no updated ratings period).
