  1. In that second game, when you played Ne5 threatening checkmate and your opponent captured your queen, you took NINE seconds before playing the checkmate. Why take so long to make an obvious move that you were intending to play? What if your opponent reported you for being "suspicious" for taking so long? Do you see how easy it is to fall into that line of thinking? The reality is, as you just demonstrated, sometimes you like to take a few seconds before making your move. It doesn't make someone a cheater. (Yes, I'm still annoyed at the way things transpired the other day. You had no need to call someone out as a cheater and defame their character when you didn't know FOR SURE.)

  2. Obvious Qf3 (beginning). Losing so much time in the opening, i think its not the best way right?

    Btw 18:03h : Bd5, catch the queen

  3. I am cooking rice while playing chess to gain 1000 elo.

  4. ! with an asterix is fair/ appropriate until theres a final resolution in my opinion. You the man Coach

  5. I think that at 18.03 mark (after Nc6) white can play Bd5 and then take the trapped quee. If Bg4 then Qf2 or Qd2. I am not sure if I am missing something

  6. 16:18 if the king moved down, took d5 would’ve been mate in 2, and the king can only move down, so it was actually mate.

  7. Psychological effects in full storm in this video. It was great to see how much better you played when that confidence came back after the first game and getting the momentum rolling all the way to the last game where you saw everything very clear. Thanks for posting!

  8. vbs123 is probably the weirdest player i have ever seen like he doesnt spend time to think, he turned a endgame with 9 minutes on his clock

  9. love watching the rating climb while having dinner. thanks for the great games, Nelson πŸ™‚

  10. Hey, maybe next game you can shiw us the rice cooker attack?

  11. Raw Rice Attack: 1. e3 e5 2. e4. White is using two moves instead of one to get more time for cooking rice.

  12. Can you pls leave the Eval on during the analysis parts ?

  13. What If they take F7 with the Bishop instead of the knight in the Fritz gambit? That happened to me & I was gutted lol

  14. Isn't there a "rice cooker" defense in chess theory? πŸ€”

  15. I love how assuredly the Caro player took the queen. If I see a queen hang, I spend a long time looking at it for exactly the reason we saw in the game… There might be a mate behind it. But nope, he just nabbed the queen straight off πŸ˜‚

  16. Cheers Nelson. Really love your videos. Appreciate it.

  17. when they said chess is not only about move. now seeing him play, i can see why lol. need confidence boost.

  18. Wow I actually predicted to move or a move that I would have done of course I get to watch your explanation your counter movements are predicted stuff that's exactly what I would have done Rook to b4 now for the rest of it

  19. Game review is currently not working AKA Stockfish is cooking rice.

  20. That chess board set on Nelson's background should change to rice cooker at the next Livestream

  21. Evandro Barbosa says that we must gather ideas from a position to be able to form a tactic after having strategically positioned the pieces.

  22. Anybody knows if it was cheating or not? I missed the final decision

  23. Is there a reason you don’t play 15 min instead of 10 min?

  24. LOL πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Everybody is talking about rice cooking. I am going to order one via Amazon tonight. πŸ˜‚

  25. Great series of videos. Thank you very much.

  26. If youuu smeeeeeeeeeell what the rice is cooking

  27. I have been improving because of ur help! great job!

  28. I love that everyone makes jokes about the rice cooker guy πŸ˜‚

  29. Sees timer: 35 minutes.
    Thinks: Oh, 2 games probably.
Lost count by the end of the video πŸ˜€ Double trap accident was wonderful)

  30. You can make custom C Clamps out of pvc tube (with a heat gun).
the PVC has pretty good strength, especially if you get the size just-right (so get some anvil or similar to make corners.).
You just cut off a cylinder, cut a strip in that (making a C that's almost an O), and then shape with the heat gun.

  31. It was very entertaining to see you casually troll the sus player with those rice cooker references. You are a great entertainer. Or, should I say, chesstertainer.

  32. Why arent't these video's listed on your channel anymore?

  33. What is the name of the gambit that crushed the caro-cann?

  34. the rice cooker would have seen that no problem

  35. I really don't like how much people make fun of the alleged cheater here. To me that just seems very much like bullying. It isn't at all clear to me that the person cheated and the explanation letter sounded very reasonable to me. Just think how you would feel if this was you and you did in fact play one of your best games. And while I very much enjoy this series Nelson, I don't think you should encourage your viewers to make jokes on this topic, as it just encourages the kind of harassment you spoke out against in your last video.

  36. Nelson, I’m really enjoying these videos. I love hearing you talk through each position; you keep your cool and wait for opportunities. Excellent!

  37. first time that I'm seeing Nelson go into a endgame with more than 1 minute on the clock LOL

  38. At the 500 level, I threw my knight right into the middle of black’s camp once because I saw a chance to check the king and trade some material. It ended up being an even trade, but the game review gave me a brilliant for it because, had I followed it up correctly, I would have come out up one pawn. To this day, I’m still confused about why it said brilliant.

  39. have you ever played Levy Gotham ? or Hikaru?

  40. Just tried the fritz gambit, (at 950 elo) and the first time it worked… first smothered mate, love it
