About this video:
This is the start of a series where I play games against players from different rating levels, starting at 600 to 800 and working all the way up to 2200. I try to focus on the thought process behind the moves I’m making. You will learn all sorts of chess strategies, chess tactics, chess ideas, and chess concepts. I talk about how to think during a chess game and what the thought process should be.

  1. At 2:52 would nt moving bishop to 34 be the best move even if he takes or leave youd probably get advantage

  2. Awesome, Nelson!! Very instructive!! Tyvm!

  3. It looks like at 2:58 if you did b-e4, then he would be forced to capture your queen on g2, after recapture with bishop on g2, then you end up with a rook.

  4. 300 here and this was a great game for me to watch! Holy heck.. cant wait to get up into the higher elo and see what there is waiting for me!

  5. the second dude sacrificed the king to save queen☠️

  6. Trying my best! In one day I went from 667 to 560, and I'm really down since I worked for like half a year to get there. I'll try my best to climb my way up

  7. At 2:57, wouldn't the best move be bishop to e4, now if he moves the queen away he loses rook, if he takes queen then bishop takes and rook is trapped, if any other move then bishop takes queen

  8. At 2:55 , I'm wondering why you didn't go Bishop E4 to win the RookProbably a reason for it but I don't see itThanks for the awesome video btw!

  9. Ah I was looking for this, I've hit a sort of downward slump when it comes to chess, whether that be because of a month of inactivity regarding chess I don't really know, but I hit 828 elo last week when I started playing again and then immediately dropped to the 700-750 range in which I am somehow struggling to hold my own whereas before it wasn't that hard, I'll try to apply all the info from this video because the 800 elo barrier is a real pain in the ass.
